The proposal here presented under the name "Biennale of Experimental Poetry in Euskadi", meeting point of poetry from all over the world, concentrates on the slopes of poetic creations called experimental: visual, visiva, concrete, objectual, verbophonic, phonetic, cybernetic, spatial, performance, active, ….
With the organisation of this biennale we pretend to open a new entry for poets and creators, valuing the poetic expression, facilitating access to all citizens to an artistic expression, creation or, which is the same, poetry.
We understand that poetry exists at the basis of all arts and that there exist creative processes which, so far, have avoided all systematic exhibition and its difficult matching within the big units, as there are the Plastic Arts and the Linguistic Arts. This has led us to track down examples of these forms of peculiar creations, uneasy and complex, belonging to a great number of authors, realised in specialised publications and edited in minorities, for the reason that they are limited, and in majority of the cases, owe their existence to the persistence of their creators.
In consequence, we would like to offer an encounter between currents, tendencies and "operators" and the public. As well as a debate and an analysis about our cultural and artistic reality: a reality much richer and complex than one would be inclined to admit. We think that in some cases a diversity and a plurality of aesthetic resources will be revealed and, in other cases, simply will serve to name emotions that are existent in the collective subconscious.
The Biennale of Experimental Poetry in Euskadi recovers the "Primeras Jornadas de Poesía" celebrated in BaraKaldo in 2006 and has vocation for the Biennale in 2008 to come.
This first Biennale, which will take place in November of 2008, will have its head office in Barakaldo and will also unfold its programme in Sestao, Leioa (UPV) and Bilbao. In 2010 probably Portugalete, Muskiz, … will included.
The foreseen programme, about the adquiered experience during the "Encuentros" in 206, will include various aspects: 5 expositions, 4 debates, bibliographic sample, projections of video creations, 12 performances / actions / recitals,… and other acts still to be defined.

In the autumn of 2006, La Única Puerta a la Izquierda (L.U.P.I.) offered the encounter between currents, tendencies and "operators" that had in common an experimentation and offered to the public, more than a simple exhibition of the unusual or attractive, an intense debate concerning our complex cultural and artistic reality.Today the Biennale of Experimental Poetry in Euskadi. EXPOESIA 2008, recovers those "I Jornadas… " celebrated in Barakalo in 2006, the coordinators, in conjunction with the magazine Metamorfosis and the Cultural Association L.U.P.I. have agreed in realizing a summon about experimental poetry.

ENTORNO A. Jon Andoni Goikoetxea
Exposition monographic in the Municipal Exhibition Hall in Barakalo around Jon Andoni Goikoetxa (Goiko), experimental poet barakaldes. It will consist in a double exposition: his own work and work of invited artists. In the autumn of 2006, La Única Puerta a la Izquierda (L.U.P.I.) offered the encounter between currents, tendencies and "operators", one of the activities that was developed was the creation of an archive of publications, centred in experimental poetry, creating a guide "DOSSIER DE PUBLICACIONES DE POESÍA EXPERIMENTAL 2006" where more than 80 publications were recollected at international level.
During this Biennale 2008 we hope to achieve the same result, joining the mayor number of publications possible.

Fragments of Enthusiasm. Anthology of visual poetry in Spain (1964-2006).
It is our whish for each edition of the Biennale that we initiate to give birth to attributive projects that involve with relevance those forms of creations if nothing but daring, but that have not passed unnoticed in the artistic development from the ancient times till our days, with special mentioning of some special periods (the vanguardian history at the beginnings of the XX century, the renovators in the ´60…), since without doubt we are assisting the revitalization of those proposals.
If we received the exposition from the recently created Centre of Visual Poetry (V.P.V.) during the I Jornadas de Poesía Experimental in November 2006, in Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo (Córdoba), this new encounter will count on Fragmentos de Entusiasmo. Antología de la Poesía Visual en España (1964-2006), from Antonio Orihuela in 2007.

In the area of experimental poetry it is called poetic performance and poetic action.
Poetry in action is a proposal that wants to facilitate an encounter, a discussion and a debate about this line of investigation.

Three projection sessions of video-poetry in the casa de Cultura Clara Campoamor (Barakaldo), one dedicated to the work of Eugeni Bonet, based on original poems from J.E.Cirlot, a second session a series of selected national and international authors, and thirdly a summon of recorded events.

(UPV-EHU), (LEIOA).
Presentation and debate around distinct visions and manifestations in experimental poetry.
Four authors will be invited from different trajectories in this area, each one representing a different tendency.
We will have a first commerce from the15th of February till the 15th of March with round tables dedicated to experimental poetry; in May several conferences will be held about experimental poetry and their publications.
