Convocation publications dossier of experimental poetry

In the autumn of 2006, La Única Puerta a la Izquierda (The Only Door to the Left) (L.U.P.I.) organised an encounter of currents, tendencies and “operators”, one of the events was the creation of an archive of publications, orientated on experimental poetry, creating a guide “DOSSIER DE PUBLICACIONES DE POESÍA EXPERIMENTAL 2006” where more then 80 publications are gathered.

One of the first conclusions drawn from those I Jornadas de Poesía Experimental de Euskadi / Euskal Herriko Poesia Esperimentalaren I Jardunaldiak was that these forms of creations find their principal support in specialized publications and editions, minorities because they are very limited, because on their own create a piece of art and because mostly they owe their existence to the insistence of their creators.

Today the Biennale of Experimental Poetry in Euskadi - EXPOESÍA 2008, recovers those “I Jornadas…” celebrated in Barakaldo in 2006, therefore the coordinators and the Cultural Association L.U.P.I. have decided to organise the following convocation.

CONVOCATION

BIENNALE OF EXPERIMENTAL POETRY IN EUSKADI – EXPOESÍA 2008

PUBLICATIONS DOSSIER FOR EXPERIMENTAL POETRY 2008

We invite you to participate in the exposition of the Biennale of Experimental Poetry in Euskadi - EXPOESÍA 2008, with your publications edited between 2007/2008, related to experimental poetry. All types and formats will be admitted: books, object magazines, artists books, fanzine, magazines of assemblage, etc. With all the material received, the Dossier de Publicaciones de Poesía Experimental 2008 will be edited on paper and internet.

BASIS

1. All Editors/Collectives/Foundations etc who whish can participate, independently of their nationality, with publications realised between 2007/2008.

2. Two copies per title will be send, the presented copies will not be returned, forming part of the Funds of documentation of Experimental Poetry of the Biennale.

3. The presentation will have to be send before the 15^th of November 2008, after that date the participation of the file will not be guaranteed.

4. The interest of the Convocation will purely be artistic, for cataloguing and diffusion of Experimental Poetry.

5. All participants will receive documentation related to the present Biennale of Experimental Poetry- EXPOESÍA 2008.

6. The coordinators of the Convocation reserve the right to unbind with their best criteria all incidences that might come forth.

7. Participating with this Convocation is a declaration of agreement with all its statutes.
